I’m starting to make tiny Scottish-looking (O.K. stereotypically Scottish-looking, I’m generalising a little here I’m afraid. But then doll-making is about caricatures sometimes) dolls to sell to the summer visitors we are lucky enough to have here in Edinburgh. And do you know, there are so many different shades of red hair, I keep pulling out yarn and thinking ‘oh no, too bright’, or ‘far too yellowy’ and actually they all look great.
