This summer I was lucky enough to have a shoe-making tutorial from a fantastic shoe-maker in Sheffield at Guat Shoes. Most of my own shoes come from here (they are so comfy and well-made, I would strongly recommend them) and I was delighted when the shoe-maker offered to show me the basic process she uses so that I could scale it down to doll-size. I had some trouble with the thickness of the leather and as I was away without my sewing machine I stitched this first pair by hand so they were trickier than I imagined. But here is my first pair of properly shaped all-leather doll shoes.
